The Game

Overview
Pikaboom is an interactive board game that deals with development initiatives through engaging local communities and enabling them to participate in setting objectives, planning processes, decision making and critical thinking.
The game also aims at developing a level of personal safety concerning not only mines and cluster bombs but all dangerous and suspicious objects through awareness raising where the player is interacting and reacting to different scenarios and contexts.

Who created the game?
The game was developed based on a concept created by Ibrahim Abou Khalil (Réseau f).
A group of professionals working in different fields from National Demining Office - Lebanese Army, Khayal Cooperative Association for Arts and Education, Balamand University, and Réseau f (French NGO) participated in the making of the game and added their input to its creation to make it more fun to play and disseminate critical and serious messages at the same time.
